Achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among the South Asian Countries: Progress and Challenges

This article analyses sustainable development goals based on selected indicators to capture the progress of SDGs among South Asian countries. The are used explore countries achievements since its adoption in 2015 and challenges achieving specific SDG. study adopts various methods including trend analysis, ranking comparative analysis analyse findings reveal that although SDG1 is progressing, still one third world poor population lives south Asia where India (37.2%) was found highest poverty headcount $3.20/day followed by Nepal (33.4%) Bangladesh (33.2%). also portray majority spend less than 4% their GDP education health which hindrances SDG indicators. Moreover, many far reaching from environmental sustainability such as CO2 emission per capita, air pollution forest coverage. Overall, though have achieved some positive particular but 1, 5, 8, 11, 14-17 remain for target. Therefore, this suggests promote policies initiatives targeting 2030.
